Cari Moll is a writer, photographer, and MFA candidate at the University of New Hampshire. They published their first chapbook, Late Night Train Lights, in 2018, going on to feature work in publications such as Cardinal Sins Journal, The Raven Review, and Woodcrest Literary Journal. They currently serve as editor-in-chief for Barnstorm Journal. When not writing, Cari can be found at a rock show with a camera in hand or in a coffee shop with a lavender latte and cheesy romance novel.
It’s been six years since Cari’s last book Late Night Train Lights. In this new collection, Cari Elizabeth Moll explores the emotional turmoil connected to the queer experience. Their poetry is visceral and devastating, while simultaneously serving as a reminder of the joy that awaits on the other end of coming to terms with one’s identity and embracing our most carnal desires. Only the Pretty Lesbians Go to Heaven is a space where love is welcome, lust is celebrated, and pain intertwines with pleasure to showcase the grandness of what it means to be young, horny, and happy to be alive.
