Holley Daschbach’s poems have been published in Conceptions Southwest, The Brookline Education Journal, LitFUUSE, Piscataqua Poems 2, Womanthought, and Sinister Wisdom. She has been writing poetry for many years, and this is her first book of poetry. Holley is a Montessori teacher as well as a tutor and former public school teacher. She feels peaceful and grounded when working with children, singing, reading or tramping about in the woods allowing poems to percolate. She teaches at the Cornerstone School and lives in the NH Seacoast area.
Holley’s poems are an invitation to explore the natural world, their details, the species that occupy their ranges, the daily lessons they offer. A Montessori teacher by trade, her poems offer the world as a classroom. Her poems ask in a way, if we could only take time to notice the tanager, the growth and design of the morel, the interwoven supportive community which is another home only a short walk or drive from our backyard, if we would only use our senses to see them, smell them, learn from them.
